We stayed in Highclare house in July this year to visit some friends and do some travelling. We picked this b&b because of its proximity to Hillsong church. Although a bit of a drive from the airport, it was definitely worth it because the area was lovely and quiet and our room was just gorgeous. The owners were very vigilant and had thought of absolutely everything we could possibly need. It was a cold day but when we arrived our room was lovely and warm with cosy blankets and dressing gowns to make us feel at home. The decoration was vintage and unique, the bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. In the morning we were treated to a fab fry up breakfast made by the owners themselves, who are very friendly people. A great stay, really recommend this place.
Lovely cosy place to stay. Close to transport easy to get into Sydney quiet area cosy beds one problem was noisey downstairs however this is not the owners fault and can't be helped Lovely people Zoe was warm welcoming and very helpful made a good friend. Chloe is lovely I wish you all the best for your future . Really enjoyed our stay and the fits of laughter Thank you xx
Great bed, comfortable pillows, clean neat and tidy! FANTASTIC central heating with no need to rug up too much in cold weather, and no need to use the in room heater. This Guest house accomodation is what every one should be - everything you could possibly need and more - all served with a friendly and bubbly demeanour! I only had a slice of toast and a cup of coffee that could float a battleship but there was a feast on hand - certainly the best value for money accomodation I have stayed at in as long as I can remember. I even got over the shared bathroom, which was clean and well stocked!
Visiting family nearby this was just what we were after. We stayed at L’Auberge Angara Cottage in one of the double bedrooms with shared bathroom and relative to the price it was perfect. The room was set up beautifully and I found the bed very comfortable, but keep in mind it is a double bed if you need more space (they have Queen rooms too), for us it wasn't a problem, and there was TV and all amenities, as well as common fridge for cold storage. Free wifi was definitely appreciated. The bathroom was close and we never had to wait for it, in fact, we didn't bump into anyone until breakfast (there's also an extra bathroom downstairs). Breakfast was a great feast ranging from a full cooked breakfast to cereal, toast (a variety of bread including raisin), yoghurt and fruit. It was very enjoyable in the sunny breakfast room. The neighbourhood was cosy and quiet, though there was a soccer carnival in the field behind the night we stayed it was over by 9pm (and we were out most of the evening). Yes, it is in someone's home, as an earlier review pointed out, it's a B&B, so don't stay here if that's a problem for you. The stairs can be a bit noisey when people go up and down but we didn't hear anything during the night and if you don't like, or are allergic to cats, choose one of their other cottages (I did note this on their website before booking). Steven, the owner checked us in and was very helpful. We will stay again.
Lovely place and ideal for family if you are OK with being slightly away from city... Very Victorian set up and a home like feeling... Good stuff... And great breakfast.... Steve do thank the lovely lady for brilliant breakfast all the days...
